About the Government Cloud (Deem)
Deem is a government cloud-computing platform established by a royal decree in early September 2018. The platform provides government and semi-governmental entities with promptly accessible, highly reliable, flexible, and efficient technological assets to achieve digital transformation and improve the technological services provided in the Kingdom.

There is one government cloud (Deem) available in 3 data centers in different locations in Saudi Arabia.


Services Provided by Deem

Deem Centers

Pool or collection of cloud infrastructure resources specifically designed for enterprise business needs. The basic resources are the processor (CPU), memory (RAM), storage (disk space), and networking (bandwidth). It is a virtual representation of a physical data center.

Deem Backup

Deem Backup enables you to centralize and automate data protection. It offers a fully managed, policy-based service that makes it easy to define, manage, and govern backup policies, as well as protect a wide range of enterprise workloads.

Deem Simple Storage

Deem Storage is optimized for storing massive amounts of unstructured data. Unlike files and file systems, objects are stored in a flat structure. Without the constraints of filesystem hierarchies, object storage environments can grow to an extreme scale. An object can be accessed through an HTTP-based REST application programming interface (API). The most widely adopted of these is the S3 API.

Deem Domains

Deem Domains identify the IP address of a given domain by enabling clients to host public DNS records, store logging records, manage DNS connections, and provide reporting and analytics.

Email Service

Email Service improves productivity with powerful email, calendar, and online collaboration tools. It is designed for organizations Seeking the benefits of cloud-based email without compromising the enterprise-class capabilities of email service.

Deem Meets

Deem Meets allows clients to conduct interactive video and audio meetings in a secure environment, both within and outside their organization. It offers numerous advantages and features, including screen sharing, chatting, digital whiteboard, recording, and scheduling meetings.

Deem Drive

Deem Drive allows clients to upload and synchronize files to cloud storage, access their work files from anywhere on any device, resulting in an increase in productivity and collaboration.

Deem Data Security

Deem Data Security platform protects sensitive information, digital assets, and documents across all devices and locations. It ensures protection whether a file is stored on a server, sent via email, accessed on a mobile device, or copied to a USB memory stick.

Deem Spaces

This Service revolutionizes government collaboration through a seamless platform for instant communication. It enhances productivity by offering a flexible, integrated, and secure work environment, empowering teams to work smarter, faster, and more effectively.

Professional Services

Deem provides professional services to clients by helping them migrate their systems, applications, and on-prem workloads to Deem's cloud infrastructure. Additional services include supporting clients in creating new VM servers, scaling server resources, troubleshooting at both VM and OS levels, deploying F5 and Palo Alto solutions, creating network subnets, configuring edge firewalls, and troubleshooting at the network level.

Matjar Deem

Matjar DEEM is a digital storefront that allows clients to discover and consume cloud services; it offers flexible capabilities for service providers to onboard/maintain services.

Classifications, Assessments, and Certificates

  • As a cloud service provider, the government cloud (Deem) complies with all ECC and CCC requirements set by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) according to NCA's assessment. Additionally, Deem applies the highest security policies in force globally.
  • The government cloud (Deem) had the highest rating as a category (C) cloud services provider by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission.

Contact and service request or service request procedures

Customers can initially request the service by opening a technical support ticket, specifying the details and type of service required requests are made by contacting technical support via email: support@deem.sa or phone: 8001221111. Upon receiving the request, the technical support team will promptly route it to the customer participation team, which will then contact the customer directly to schedule a meeting. During the meeting, the customer will be presented with the specific service requested along with an overview of all Deem's services. Following the meeting, the customer will be advised to submit a formal request letter for the desired service, addressed to His Excellency the President of SDAIA. Once the request letter is received, the necessary actions will be initiated.
