The Business Development Sector at the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), through its Supervisory Unit for the Data and AI Society Department, aims to enhance the non-profit sector’s role within the data and AI fields. This is achieved by facilitating the establishment, empowerment, and performance monitoring of non-profit organizations. The Sector also strives to elevate the efficiency of the non-profit domain, positioning it as a key contributor to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
About the Supervisory Unit Department
A regulatory body tasked with overseeing the establishment, empowerment, and performance monitoring of non-profit organizations in the data and AI sector, with the goal of regulating and enabling impactful community initiatives in the field.

To foster effective and empowered non-profit organizations that drive sustainable developmental impact within the data and AI ecosystem.
Mission
Empowering non-profit organizations to maximize their impact and drive sustainable development within the data and AI ecosystem by identifying social opportunities, building capacities, addressing challenges, and supporting the establishment of resilient and sustainable entities.
Strategic Objectives
- Promote a culture of non-profit work and incentivize the data and AI ecosystem to establish non-profit organizations.
- Contribute to the ideation, incubation, acceleration, support, and establishment of non-profit entities.
- Empower organizations, address operational challenges, and contribute to capacity building and the enhancement of institutional excellence within the sector.
- Establish guidelines and principles to regulate and govern technical activities within non-profit organizations.
- Encourage the engagement of private, government, and non-profit entities to provide financial and non-financial support to non-profit organizations.
Establishment
Facilitate and accelerate the establishment of organizations within SDAIA’s purview while supporting establishment requests in collaboration with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector.
Empowerment
Address challenges, empower organizations, and facilitate the achievement of their objectives.
Monitoring and Follow-Up
Supervise the programs and activities of non-profit organizations, monitor their performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
