Therefore, the Kingdom seeks to implement the best international practices in regard to the policies and controls of personal data protection and national data management and governance, in addition to enhancing the data’s value in making strategic decisions, foreseeing the future, and achieving the highest levels of responsibility and transparency.

Countries worldwide attempt to benefit from the value of data as an economic resource that unlocks innovation and enhances economic transformations and competitiveness. At the national level, government entities collect and process vast amounts of data that contribute to economic growth and lead to positioning the Kingdom as a leader among data-driven economies. In light of Vision 2030, the Kingdom seeks a new era that enhances government entities' performance, raises the level of transparency and responsibility, boosts economic diversification, and encourages benefiting from data-driven services. Together, these goals will play an effective role in the global economy that is built on trust and international partnerships.
